This illustrates a worrying trend that, even with today's heightened level of emergency, 23% of companies still have no formal Business Continuity Plan.
This does not mean, of course, that the companies concerned have no form of back up, but it is either informal, or there are no plans to integrate it across the organisation, thereby increasing the company's vulnerability and level of risk.
A valuable point to note is that within the last 2 years (since the heightened levels of emergency), 37% of the respondents have initiated a formal Business Continuity Programme.
